Recent research shows that getting better at innovation is becoming the #1 strategic priority for future-focused leaders.
According to McKinsey’s “Prioritizing innovation today is the key to unlocking post-crisis growth, but the COVID-19 crisis presents an opportunity that few feel equipped to pursue”
Do you feel equipped to pursue innovation to unlock new potential for your organisation?
I am so delighted to share with you that the South African Innovation League 2021/2022 is here and that it is even more valuable to you than ever – and our friends at Milpark Business School and the Technology Top 100 Awards (TT100) are partnering with us again to bring it to life!

Based on global research and the guiding standard for Innovation Management Systems (ISO 56002:2019), the Innovation League survey in 2021 was built on the seven key elements identified as imperative for organisations in pursuit of successful innovation capability building.

By participating your organisation will be entitled to a high-level digital report indicating your organisation’s innovation score in relation to the ISO 56002 Innovation Management Guiding Standard plus an (online) seat at the Awards.
It should not take longer than 30 minutes to complete it is free! 🎉 and closes on 31 January 2022.
Here are some answers to questions you might have: (You can find more information and download the InnoLeague FAQ here)
We only started with innovation at our organisation, surely participating in the Innovation League is premature? This is a comment we get often and we understand why you feel that way. However, only the winners gets announced and there is no way that anyone else (apart from us) will know what your results were or that you even participated. It is great opportunity to learn about innovation management and to get independent feedback on what your strengths and weaknesses are! You will receive an innovation score with some recommendations. Your information will never be shared with anyone.
Are you asking for sensitive or secret information? No. We understand that your innovation programme is geared to deliver results and create something new. The questions we ask are all about how you manage innovation. We will never expect you to share any sensitive information about your organisation or your innovation programme. All information is kept strictly confidential.
What instrument do you use for the assessment? Innocentrix have aligned the questionnaire used for the Innovation League with the guiding ISO 56002 Innovation Management standards. This means that your feedback report will give you an excellent view of where your own gaps are and what you can do better.
ISO 56002 sounds complicated and I don’t think its applicable to us. The new Innovation Management standards are aimed at providing guidance on how to manage innovation better and benchmark related activities. It is designed to support innovation in organisations regardless of origin, type or size. It will lead to market, cultural and organisational benefits and will be beneficial knowledge for your organisation. Give it a try and learn about innovation.
How long does the survey take to complete? The League Survey consists of 50 questions. It does not require you to provide any comprehensive organisational information. It should take you no longer than 30 minutes to complete and you most probably will be able to do it in one sitting.
