[15 August 2024] Innocentrix is proud to announce the launch of The Innovation League, a groundbreaking biennial award designed to spotlight Africa’s leading innovation-driven organisations. The Innovation League aims to encourage, recognise and reward innovation excellence, thereby creating a distinguished network of innovation leaders who contribute to economic growth and job creation across the continent.
Henra Meyer, CEO at Innocentrix, emphasised the significance of this initiative, stating, “When Africa’s top organisations excel in innovation, the ripple effects are profound, driving economic growth and job creation. The Innovation League is our commitment to celebrating and advancing innovation excellence, and by doing so, we hope to inspire more organisations to reach new heights of success and impact”.
The Innovation League is grounded in global research and adheres to the ISO 56002:2019 Innovation Management Systems standards. This initiative incorporates seven essential elements crucial for building successful innovation capabilities, as well as eight innovation management principles. The assessment framework offers organisations a comprehensive overview of their innovation performance relative to the ISO 56000 Innovation Management Standards. Participants will receive a high-level digital report detailing their innovation score and providing strategic recommendations for enhancement.
This initiative not only highlights individual organisational achievements but also provides valuable insights into Africa’s innovation landscape, fostering growth and development within the region. Previous winners of The Innovation League include renowned companies such as Vodacom, Altron, SA Legal Aid, Sibanye Stillwater and Business Connexion.
